The Pod Has Been Cast presents:

The port city of Hatred Festers and writhes on the southeastern coast of Exalt squashed between the jagged shores of the Mad Sea and the blighted swamp of Hagswallow Mire. An oppressive damp heat clings to the chest and underarm of this region with intermittent cold spells left in the wake of the constant sea storms, storms ranging from violent to downright hostile. The city sprawls out before you like a diseased dog on the sidewalk, teaming with fleas and insanity. Let us inspect the wretched corpse. The Areterias, are the city's vascular system. Canalways clogged with small boats and merchant rafts. The aretrias spread from the mighty river hatred that bisects the city and feeds into the Mad. Blue Harbor, serving gratefully as both the city’s mouth and ass, the busy pier with its bells and barks harmonizing with the seabirds and wavefall. The interior city, alive with starving drunk street performers, the siren calls of desperate vendors and flower girls with pretty smiles and painted blushes. Buildings are similarly varnished in mosaic pinks, greens and blues, ignorantly bright against the ever-gray sky. Somewhere someone is being beaten mercilessly in a shadowy alleyway, elsewhere a torrid affair takes place in a hidden water garden, around the corner someone mutters an ancient curse from across a crowded square, and just up town as the threatening rain finally falls fresh graffiti runs yellow into the gaping sewer and deeper deeper still- the words “One Hatred” melting into the black.
